We felt a bit 'sheparded' compared to the year before and also missed the hot drinks by the chapel (although I am aware that that was not your choice)

The low level of lighting, Films projected onto yew trees. Unamplified music audible from around the churchyard. A man with his hand on his daughter's shoulder, both watching the dance performance with serious faces side-lit with a crimson glow. Following the trail of dim glows. I think it was wonderful the way you created such a long circuitious route through the dark.

3/10/11 9:19AM View Responses

I loved being able to watch my sons faces as they listened to the poets, and also to have a platform to talk about their grand and great grandparents experiences of the war (s) . I enjoyed the piper at the end.

it's only 4 months – don't rush the year away!

3/10/11 4:22AM View Responses

I still have vivid memories of the event which seamed to me to be about truely remembering rather than ceremonies - thank you again

3/10/11 4:23AM View Responses

Please continue with these kinds of events. Might be worth having a school afternoon when you invite school groups in. That might also support any funding bids.

3/10/11 5:46AM View Responses

3/10/11 6:05AM View Responses

That you do it again - and selfishly I would like you to do it in Brockley, please. I would really like it to become an annual event here, I would be prepared to travel but too long a journey lessens the impact, forcing one too quickly back to the mundane. It is a wonderful and emotional experience and the organisers learnt from mistakes in their first year. They did not have the generator noise that detracted from the event in 2009 and the vistitors moved more smoothly past the performers. It is something that can only get better and better.

3/10/11 9:19AM View Responses

We really appreciated the event in 2010, but it did not feel as magical as 2009 somehow. The music and performances seemed to flow better that first year we attended - having said that, I am very grateful for the event happening at all so thankyou!

3/10/11 2:41PM View Responses

This was one of the best local events I have attended. The enthusiasm, innovation and quality of performance was all excellent

Approaching the gates on Brockley Road the number of police was a little disconcerting after the events that had taken place a couple of days earlier in the student fees protests.

Keep it in B&L cemetery!

3/26/11 5:31PM View Responses

Would be interested in reading some poetry at the event next year.
