With Covid-19 ravaging populations and the World trying to come to terms with lockdown reality, it seems an appropriate moment to reactivate this Platform-7 project from 2013 exploring the trauma that follows on from a sudden shocking change in circumstance.
 Alf Morris Story by Jude Cowen...to perform a piece about the Stairway to Heaven Memorial at the site of the memorial itself by the Bethnal Green tube station. The story of the fundraising for the memorial is an infamous one in Bethnal Green because of the council funding (lack of it) despite the exceptional number of donations / local support for it... |  Alf Morris Story by Jude Cowen...I found the stories of survivors on the memorial very moving and really felt a connection. It was very moving to sing my piece which was based on the oral history of one survivor of the tube disaster at the memorial itself.... |  Alf Morris Story by Jude Cowen...Many people watched the performance even though they hurried past quickly on their way to work or on their errands... |
