The level of collaboration was new to me working with a poet, sound artist and sound producer as well as 9 live telephone callers. The surprise for me was from the telephone callers who represented the wild card of the performance and a true example of letting the concept evolve from my vision. The result they injected was thoughtful, rich and moving beyond my expectations. I am very happy to have had the opportunity to be part of this event. Congratulations to John and all the collaborators, artists and performers for having the courage to deliver something special against the odds.

it was humbling to be asked to collaborate in this event. a live improvisation using phone lines to span distances. the spoken word narrator relayed his prose then periodically fell silent as the phone lines interjected and i then had to work with whatever sounds tumbled down the receiver to the speakers in the room. i found it tense at first but then during the proceedings i felt that i grew into it. the three way collaboration in the room worked well together to produce the final piece and the barely controlled noise produced by manipulating the jack plug complemented the dialled in monologues increasingly well as the performance progressed. my personal favourite being the resulting fifth recording. my thanks go out to jon and tom for developing the idea and having the vision to bring the jack plug on board thanks again
